From community involvement to bettering ourselves through the pursuit of lifelong learning, July has been a fruitful month for us here at Prince’s.
Plant-a-Tree Programme at Punggol Park Connector
Our team was involved in the Plant-a-Tree Programme by providing saplings for the community and assisted in ensuring the entire process was conducted safely and properly. Preparations were done beforehand in order for the activity to proceed smoothly. Holes were dug up at locations where the trees would be planted and saplings were placed in them. Care was taken to avoid any injury to the trees.
Once the activity started, our team of experienced workers kept a watchful eye on the procedure and was always ready to assist. It was a day of fun and earnest work that helped to contribute to the community and our environment.

Chainsaw Safety & Maintenance Class (3rd Run)
On 17th July, our training department held a class that introduces the safe handling and maintenance for chainsaws. The class was held for 3 days – classes were held on the first 2 days to introduce the equipment and also the proper necessary procedures in handling one safely. Once our trainer determined that everyone passed the test, the class was taken outdoors on the last day where they got to experience using the equipment first-hand.

Occupational First Aid Class
An external instructor was invited to our office to conduct an Occupational First Aid class on 29th July. Most of our staff in the Operations Department attended the class, serving as a refresher to most and an introductory one to new attendees.
